Kingdom Business 101

This website is for and about BELIEVERS (not just churchgoing "Christians") who are specifically called by God to the marketplace to do business for the Kingdom of God.

These Kingdom entrepreneurs are called "Business Kings." Although most of us are initially unaware of the magnitude of this divine apostolic call and opportunity, we have a mandate to create and generate great wealth -- not for selfish reasons, but to advance God's will in the earth. Whether it is to finance other ministries as the Holy Spirit directs, or to create holy business vessels for the Lord to use to bless others.

However, in order for Business Kings to "walk it out," God has to:

  • De-throne us off the thrones of our hearts and lives so He can sit there;
  • De-program us from our religious way of thinking and doing, then re-program us with a Kingdom mindset;
  • De-regulate our motives and ways, then purify them with His Holy fire

The Business Kings blog will not try to "reinvent the wheel" here about the King of Kings, His Kingdom and what it means for us to walk in kingship under Him, but rather we are spotlighting and highlighting many seasoned voices in the Body of Christ who have mandates to teach with expansive revelation knowledge of the King and His Kingdom to us His kings.

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah

by Rev. Ernest V. George

The Bible uses symbols extensively to convey a message. And one of the prominent symbols that God uses to associate his Son is the Lion (Rev.5:1-5). The apostolic ministry also is symbolized by the lion.

Let us examine four significant lessons from the Lion of Judah!

Royalty!

The Lion is recognised as the ‘King of the beasts’. Kingship signifies royalty. Jesus is called the king of kings and Lord of lords! (Rev.17:14). As children of God, Jesus has made us royalty too!

The Blood of the Lamb makes us royal members of God’s household! In order to develop a ‘royal mindset, we must develop the mind of Christ. There is certain behaviour pattern expected from royalty. To know what God expects of us, we must renew our mind with the Word of God. Read the Bible and transform our way of thinking and conform to the behaviour patterns that God expects of His royal children.

Roar!

The roar of a lion is deafening and ferocious. The strength of the lion lies in its roar, not in its muscular strength. There are other animals bigger and stronger than the lion, but it’s the roar that catches the attention of all the animals in the forest. The Bible compares the roar of the lion to the Voice of God (Amos 3:8).

Judah means “Praise” (Gen.29:35). To a Christian, the roar signifies praise unto God. Jesus is descended from the Tribe of Judah, which means we are to praise him! He is your praise!

Just as the roar of the lion sends forth terror to other animals, your praise unto God, will strike fear to the enemy! Deur.10:21). The devil will flee when a child of God praises GOD! (Hos.11:10).

Ruler-ship!

As Jacob blessed his 12 sons, he prophesied for Judah that the Messiah would be from his lineage (Gen.49:10). The Ruler would come from the tribe of Judah! Ruler-ship symbolizes authority. Jesus, the Son of God was given the authority because He humbled Himself as the Sacrificial Lamb for the sins of the world. Jesus was the Lamb that took away the sins of the world, but He is also the Lion who overcame!

When John the Baptist saw Jesus he said, ‘There is the Lamb of god, Who takes away the sin of the world! (Jn.1:29). The Sacrificial Lamb became the Lamb of God who was worthy to open the scrolls in the Book of revelation (Rev.5:12)

Because of Jesus we have power and authority over temptation and the evil forces that try to derail and destroy us.

Ruler-ship means we conquer and overcome the powers of the enemy (Lk.10:19). According to Rom.8:37, we are more than conquerors! As believers we can overcome the enemy by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony (Rev.12:11).

Reign!

From an eternal perspective we understand that the Lion of Judah will return to rule and reign on this earth forever (Rev.11:15). When He comes again, He will not be a helpless babe on the manger, but He will be the conquering judge of the earth.

Jesus Christ will reign forever and ever. He is coming back to judge the living and the dead! The Consuming Fire that will purge mankind! He will separate.... the wheat and the chaff, the sheep and the goats, the good and the bad and the righteous and the wicked.

Because He is the Lion of Judah: We shall reign with him forever! (Rev.20:4) and be co-heirs with Christ though through eternity! (Rom.8:17). Let us have no more talks about hurts but about healing. No more fear but only freedom! The Lion of Judah – He roars, rules and reigns!

FIVE KINGS

By Bill Burns

Faith Tabernacle

The church finds herself in a time of testing, in which God is giving us many opportunities to overcome the flesh, the draw of the world and the devil. This time of testing has been scheduled by the Lord to purge His church so that He can bring His people into the fullness of the Holy Spirit. It is the Master’s desire to bring His washed Bride into a fuller measure of the Holy Spirit for such a time as this.

His purpose is to prepare His blood-bought church for a great victory over Satan’s kingdom. King Jesus wants to lead His people into their inheritance whereby they have victory over all of the works of the enemy. Satan desires to rule over the church and thereby keep them from receiving the blessings and promises of God.

This morning the Lord said, “Do not give up, My people, for victory is on the horizon. Even now you are overcoming the works of the flesh. Even now you are overcoming the world as you separate yourselves from its pull.

“Now watch for the works of the enemy, for he is yet hidden. I am speaking to you of the rulers of darkness that will now try to influence your thinking and rule over your actions. His purpose is to keep you from the Promised Land or your position of inheritance.

“These are the five kings that tried to keep Joshua and Israel from their inheritance. These are hidden kings of great power. Study and learn so that you are not overcome by them.”

The story of Joshua and the five kings is found in Joshua chapter 10. The five kings formed an alliance against God’s people after they heard how Joshua had taken Ai (verse 1). Israel’s army was defeated at Ai the first time because of Achan’s sin. Achan’s name means “trouble”, and his sin represented giving in to the flesh and the world. (See Joshua chapter 7.) Achan (flesh) was put to death, and then Israel went back and took Ai.

Joshua then attacked these five kings at Gibeon. The names of the five kings are given in Joshua 10:3 Therefore Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, Piram king of Jarmuth, Japhia king of Lachish, and Debir king of Eglon.

When Joshua attacked them they hid themselves in a cave in Joshua 10:16 But these five kings had fled and hidden themselves in a cave at Makkedah.

Makkedah means “place of shepherds.” These five kings (rulers) desire to establish a place of rule over God’s people. Their desire is to become the “shepherds” over the Lord’s flock through their spiritual influence over God’s people. They desire to replace the spiritual influence of our Shepherd, Jesus Christ, and this is how they plan to do it:

Makkedah is used in the sense of herding, meaning to drive by force to a designated place. So these kings intend to control and move God’s people by force and spiritual pressure to a place away from the true Shepherd where they can be slaughtered.

Adoni-zedek, king of Jerusalem – his name means “my lord is righteous.” A Lord is one who rules or is master over, so he wants to rule over our position of righteousness. He is king of Jerusalem which means “possession of peace” or “teaching of peace.” Jesus has taught us to live in peace, to maintain a position of peace. If we lose our peace we are not trusting in the Lord, and we can’t operate in faith. This king is after our peace and will try to instill worry and fear. Do not allow your circumstances (places of testing) steal your peace. Trust in the Lord. Be anxious for nothing.

Hoham, king of Hebron – his name means “whom Jehovah impels.” As a god over his people Hoham impels (drives by exertion of strong moral pressure). In other words, he will drive people into religious performance to perfect themselves. The result will be legalism. This driving force will pressure people to try to make themselves better by behavior modification rather than resting in and leaning on God’s Spirit by which they can overcome the works of the flesh. This will result in a person having a spirit of religion rather than walking in the Spirit of God. Hebron means “association.” This spirit will try to bring you into relationships with religious people who are legalistic. Set a watch!

Piram, king of Jarmuth – his name means “like a wild ass,” which represents stubbornness that refuses to be associated with any body of believers. This spirit wants to make you wild or unbridled and keep you from the place God would have you to be. Jarmuth means “heights,” which represents pride that will keep you from your place of destiny because you don’t want to submit to anyone else. Don’t allow this spirit to keep you isolated.

Japhia, king of Lachish – his name means shining or show thyself. This spirit will try to get you to shine the light on yourself, call attention to yourself, demand your rights. This spirit will cause you to take God’s glory for yourself. You will want to be the light rather than leading others into the light of Jesus Christ. This spirit will influence you so that you take the credit for yourself. Lachish means “invincible.” This spirit will cause you to think that God can’t do anything without you. You will view yourself as irreplaceable. This attitude will come because you have become the light instead of letting Jesus be the Light. You will view yourself as invincible against Satan’s force, but you will fall. “Humble thyself to show thyself approved.” Let Jesus be the Lord; lift Him up so that men will be drawn to Him and not yourself.

Debir, king of Eglon – his name means speaker and sanctuary. This spirit will try to get you to speak against those in the sanctuary…against the household of God. His desire is to cause you to become the voice of the accuser of the brethren. Eglon means a bullock or bull-like and represents one who attacks others through the use of words of criticism, accusation, and lies. This spirit will try to get you to trample others under foot and destroy their reputation. Don’t be bull-headed! Listen to what the Spirit says.

The above five kings will try to rule over the house of God. If we give into any one of these influences we may disqualify ourselves from the great blessing that is before us.

This is what Joshua did to gain the victory over these five kings:

Joshua 10:18 So Joshua said, "Roll large stones against the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to guard them.”

Bind these powers and seal them up so they will not influence your attitudes and actions. Set a guard so they don’t break out against you and take you captive.

Josh 10:24 So it was, when they brought out those kings to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the captains of the men of war who went with him, "Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings." And they drew near and put their feet on their necks.

Put your feet on the necks of these kings. Take authority over them and put them under your feet.

Romans 16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

Joshua 10:25-26 Then Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage, for thus the LORD will do to all your enemies against whom you fight." And afterward Joshua struck them and killed them, and hanged them on five trees; and they were hanging on the trees until evening.

Do not fear these spirits, but use the sword, the Word of God, to strike them and slay them.

Ephesians 6:17-18 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Read Luke chapter 4 and see how Jesus defeated Satan!

The Lord said, “Victory is on the horizon.” He is the Lord of the Breakthrough, and He is Lord over these five kings, and they will bow before His majesty.

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

THE TRUMPET

by BILL BURNS

Faith Tabernacle

"I tell you, My people, that these days will be known as the days of divine expression, for I am about to express My kingdom through you in a greater way. I am going to bring you forth into a place of resurrection power. In the process of this resurrection I will restore you. It is My desire that you come forth in health and with provision. I say these are the days of divine glory, and I will bring forth a divine manifestation, a divine expression, to those who will simply believe in Me, says the Lord. Position yourself to be one with Me in purpose, one with Me in heart, and then I will express Myself through you. The world will know that I have a people, and they will know that I am the Lord of Glory."

THE LION AND THE EAGLE

 by Bill Burns

Faith Tabernacle

As I was reading the scriptures the Lord spoke and said, "I am the Lion of Judah. The first time I came as the Lamb, but now I come to the people of praise as the Lion of Judah. Can you hear My roar? I am calling you to rise up and lift up your voice like a lion. Declare My word in boldness and in power. Declare to the nations that I come quickly. I have been waiting for these days, for these are the days in which My people will have victory over the evil one."

"It is true, My people, that Satan is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, but I say now the loudness of My roar shall overwhelm the voice of the enemy and his accusations against My people. Roar back, My people, for is it not written that you shall condemn every tongue that rises up against you in judgment?"

This word reminded me of the prophetic sign that the Lord showed me yesterday as I drove to church. I saw a magnificent golden eagle by the side of the road on a freshly killed rabbit. Several crows were waiting a short distance from the eagle, but they dared not challenge the mighty eagle for the prey.

And, the Lord says, "I am the Lion of Judah, but I am also the swift eagle who has come to take a prey. I have come to destroy the works of the evil one and take his food away from him, for he has been feeding upon My people."

For the last several weeks I have been seeing large groups of crows feeding on the road kill. Last Sunday on our way to church I saw three different places where the crows (representing demonic activity) were gathered.

Once again the Master speaks, "Watch now, for the enemy has come to steal the third-day anointing of resurrection power. You, My people, must be swifter than eagles to perceive the works of the enemy. And, you must be stronger than lions so that you may stand against the schemes of the enemy. It is time for you to roar against the enemy. It is time to take the prey and feed upon the blessings that I have come to give you."

In Revelation 5:5 Jesus is called the "Lion of the tribe of Judah." But, the symbol of the fullness of His work is given in Revelation 4:6-7. This vision of the living creatures that the Apostle John saw is the same as the one that the Prophet Ezekiel saw in Ezekiel 1:10.

These living creatures represent a double image. The first applies to Jesus Christ and the second to those who belong to Him and are being conformed to His image.

The faces of the living creature:

1. The face of the lion -- first represents Jesus as the Lion of Judah (people who praise Him). The lion is the symbol of power and dominion and represents apostolic power and authority. We as a people have been given power to rule over the enemy. Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." The Lion of Judah is roaring for His sons to come forth. Hosea 11:10 "They shall walk after the LORD. He will roar like a lion. When He roars, then His sons shall come trembling from the west." It is now time for the sons of God to receive apostolic power and rule over the enemy. We must turn the table on Satan, and he must become our prey. Psalm 104:21, "The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God."

2. The face of the calf -- this represents Jesus as the sacrifice that fulfilled the law and set us free from sin and death. Hebrews 9:12, "Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption." The sacrifice of Jesus also gives us power as we become His stall fed calves. Malachi 4:2-3, "But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this," Says the LORD of hosts. That day is this day, the Third Day of Jesus Christ.

3. The face of a man -- Jesus took on flesh, and He became the Son of Man, the first born who rose from the dead on the Third Day and came forth victorious over death, hell and the grave. This is also our promise, for He is bringing many sons into glory. In Revelation 4:8 the living creatures have six wings (the number of man) with eyes around and within (full of the Holy Spirit). These are those men who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They do not rest, and they worship the Lord. They give Him glory and honor and thanksgiving (Revelation 4:8-11).

4. The face of the eagle -- John sees the face of the eagle as an eagle flying (in the Spirit). This represents Jesus as the greatest prophet who ever lived. It also represents the prophetic vision that is now being given to those who will serve Him only. Jesus has now come to restore His people in this the Third Day. Hosea 6:2, "After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight." The promise is also given by another prophet of the Lord: Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

This is the prophecy of the Lion and the Eagle as the Lord would have us to understand it in this, the day of His power, which has been birthed from the womb of the morning. Let us worship Him in the beauty of holiness. Amen.
